With attention to the COVID-19 pandemic; many have been ignoring head lice. However, even with the pandemic, there has been an increase in head lice.

Although most kids have been studying remotely since March 2020; kids are still going outside and playing with other kids. Meanwhile, parents are out running errands. With everyone out and about; it is easy for one person to have head lice and for it to spread to other family members.

So, instead of 1 person in the household having head lice; it is now spreading to multiple family members.

Moreover, head lice in adults are usually 2 to 3 millimeters long and usually tan to gray in color. Although head lice do not fly; they can easily spread to a person in close proximity. So, that explains why there has been a huge outbreak since the coronavirus pandemic.
